This Georgia O'Keeffe note card box set contains four of the artist's signature floral images: Poppies (1950), Calla Lily Turned Away (1923), Bleeding Heart (1932), and Black Hollyhock Blue Larkspur.

O’Keeffe created powerful images that invited viewers to see the familiar in a new way, often enlarging the delicate structure of a flower to fill an entire canvas or distilling a vast desert landscape into a few details.

  • Georgia O’Keeffe (1887–1986) painted voluptuous petals and other natural forms in a style that merged realism with abstraction. O’Keeffe shunned the prevalent European ideals she found constraining—which lead to her worldwide popular and critical acclaim and eventually centered her within American modernism. Born in Wisconsin, she moved to New York at a young age and began painting her now-iconic oversized flowers. O’Keeffe later became enamored with New Mexico and its skies, hills, weathered bones, and adobe homes.
